08. Rubbernecking
Driving home, I was suddenly stuck in traffic for 25 minutes. When I finally reached the cause, I realized it wasn't due to an accident or obstruction.
A police officer had pulled someone over & cars were slowing down, not because they had to but out of curiosity.
Unchecked curiosity often becomes self-sabotage.
We don't always drift because of obstacles, but because we let curiosity & comparison quietly pull the brakes.
Perhaps peace of mind comes from resisting the urge to slow down & look over into someone else's lane.
Forward motion is too valuable to surrender to someone else's moment.
